Tidbits...

So our school curriculum came 2 days ago...and I am NOT ready yet!! I completely lumped myself on the couch from the morning.. oh who am I kidding ALL DAY sickness. The perk of homeschooling is I can start when we ARE ready!! Although Donovan's ready now! Love that! He also reminds me DAILY about starting a garden, building a playhouse, and our trip to Ohio in September. Not to mention he now has concerns about tornadoes, earthquakes, and Cancer. :( Oh did I mention he is 6 going on 20!! He and Daddy checked the internet for stats on Arizona and tornadoes/earthquakes. It just so happened that Arizona had a small earthquake that noone felt that very day!! He was very much at ease and "felt safe" knowing that the majority of Earthquakes are in California where he only goes a couple times a year. And then California had a Big one yesterday - that was a bit strange.
He LOVES his little sister, and is quite the caregiver. He told me the other day that he needed me to keep an eye on her because he had to run upstairs, then thanked me for doing so. He's also worked out a plan with Dad that he will change all the #1 diapers and Daddy can change all the #2 diapers then Mom won't have to do any!! AWWW... if this really worked....
He also really wants this next one to be a boy, although Avery is more destructive than a boy and has no problem tackling and turning over toys, tables, and chairs....
CONTINUATION -8.6.08 YES it's taken me more than a week to complete this. I am slow! Anyway - Donovan told me that he needs a break from changing the diapers. I think his total was 1 assisted anyway LOL.
We are starting school Monday! I have the recipe for the volcano and an experiment on turning carnations different colors. I have the calendar and weather tracker hung up. He is all signed up for his PE Co-op, and I'm trying to talk him into hip hop dancing or piano.. No go on both, I guess I have to wait for Avery. I am actually ready, OH WAIT, I still have to do my lesson plans. I will happy dance when that is done, but don't hold your breath.
