Awesome Garage Sale Buys and Blessings!! (Long)

Today I went to pick up my produce from our local Co-Op which is in the subdivision across from mine. My intention was to just pick up the produce and go home. Do you ever just get pulled in a direction opposite of the way you want to go? I was pulling out of getting the food, saw a garage sale sign and made a right instead of a left. I don't garage sale, LET ME REPEAT, I AM NOT A GARAGE SALER!! I'm not above it, you can find GREAT things at Yard Sales, I Love craigslist. I just don't like to bargain, to me its confrontational and the worst thing anyone can say to me is name a price. That sends me in to hyperanalyzation land! I don't want to cheat anyone but most of all don't want to cheat myself so I avoid it ALL TOGETHER!
So here I am pulling past a garage sale and they have some nice things but nothing I NEED!! So I pull around the corner and what stares me right in the face about half a block down??? A double stroller!! I was pricing these on Craigslist the night before. I know it's a little soon but hey you can never be too prepared! Right!? As I drive closer I see they have... no could it be... 2 black ceiling fans. I have to stop now. So I get out, leave mini me in the car (I wasn't staying) and ask the question... How much are you asking for the stroller? OHHH.. It was such a loaded question, because the lady goes, "Oh I don't know we paid $150 for it, name a price." My heart sank, but I did what I learned in our Dave Ramsey Financial Peace Class and I SHUT UP!! They showed me the "specs" and she said how about $30. I don't know what came over me, I didn't even hesitate, I was SOLD!! I asked her to set it aside while I ran over to the bank. I took out $80, with the intention of going back and asking about the ceiling fans but being prepared to walk away if it wasn't reasonable. We get back, I unload mini me, and walk over. They start oogling over how cute my daughter is (hey, it's in my favor, just wait). So I start looking at some of the toys and meander to the ceiling fans and ask how much and he tells me $35 each. I said I only have $60 for the stroller and the 2 fans. So he tries to talk me into a larger kinda cool ceiling fan, but I didn't want 1. I wanted the 2 that matched. I didn't say anything for a few minutes and let them talk. Then I asked "Are you sure you won't take $60 for the stroller and 2 fans". He said " YES"!! Woohoo - I hit the jackpot!! Anyway short story long, I start helping load the ceiling fans, as they were completely disassembled. The husband mentions that he works on vehicles and if we ever needed anyone to give him a call. I asked if he worked on Eclipse's and he said YES, and of course he asked what kind. So I told him about my hubby's new "baby". And he said he's been looking for one like that.... LIGHTBULB going off!!! Don't worry dear I won't sell your car without you knowing ;) He said he and his friend tweak and fix up cars for fun, yada yada, It's no big deal to them to pull engines.. which is what needs to be done with ours. LORD you are an AWESOME GOD!!
As we are talking his wife walks over with a pair of the cutest little boots and 2 outfits. She says she is giving them to her because she is so cute! As we continue to talk we somehow get into how today is her 1st birthday and blah, blah. She sends her son over to grab a Little Mermaid Ride on toy and gives it to the baby... because it's her birthday!! These are some of the nicest people I have ever met! I will definately be calling them! By the way a friend of mine just bought the same stroller for $130 on sale... I now have a new view on garage sales.
Thank you Lord for your wonderful blessings today!
